4.  To procure, install, and commission your solar system.

5.  To claim central and state government subsidies on your behalf under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

6.  To facilitate loan disbursement through bank partners or the Jan Samarth portal, if you opt for financing.

7.  To communicate with you about project status, installation schedules, payment reminders, and post-installation support.

8.  To maintain records required under Indian tax, GST, and subsidy compliance laws.

9.  To comply with legal obligations including DISCOM inspections, subsidy audits, and warranty claims.

10.  To improve our services and for internal business analysis.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

•  Authorized Installation Partners and Franchisees: We may engage franchise partners operating under the Sunshine Solaar brand to execute installations. These partners operate under our vendor registration and are bound by the same data protection obligations outlined in this policy.

•  Cloud Service Providers: We use Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Sheets) for document storage and Zoho Bigin CRM for customer record management. These providers are contractually obligated to safeguard your data.

•  WhatsApp / Meta: We use the official WhatsApp Business API provided by Meta for customer communication. Meta processes message data under its own privacy policies.

•  Legal and Regulatory Authorities: Where required by law, court order, or government request.

We do NOT share your information with advertisers, marketing agencies, or any third party for commercial or promotional purposes unrelated to your solar project.

5. How We Store and Secure Your Data

•  Digital records are stored on Google Workspace (Google Drive and Google Sheets) and Zoho Bigin CRM, both of which use industry-standard encryption and access controls.

•  Physical documents (such as signed agreements and compliance files) are stored securely at our Bhilai office with restricted access.

•  Access control: Only authorized personnel (operators, sales executives, installation supervisors, and franchise partners) have access to customer data, and only to the extent necessary to perform their role.

•  Retention period: We retain customer data for a minimum of 7 years from project completion, as required by Indian tax and subsidy compliance laws. Site photographs may be retained longer for warranty and performance monitoring purposes.

6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

•  Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

•  Right to Correction: You may request correction of any inaccurate or outdated information.

•  Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your data, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records for compliance purposes.

If you do not wish your photographs to be used for marketing, you may indicate this at the time of installation or contact us at any time to withdraw consent. Photos required for subsidy compliance cannot be removed as they are a legal requirement.
